I lost almost that much over the first 4 months, and then gained 10 lbs in 2 weeks. It will happen don't worry you are fine. Every pregnancy is different. You need to just make sure you have an additional 300 calories of healthy foods to maintain a healthy pregnancy. Make your calories count if you are not hungry. Think conciously of everything you eat. The rule is What Can My Baby Get Out of What I am Currently Eating. I am a certified nutritionist.

im 26 wks pregnant and ive lost a total of about 25 pounds i think... the baby boy looks fine so they arent really worried about my wieght
when i was about 4 wks i got a virus and morning sickness so i couldnt hold anything down for a couple of weeks...had to have an IV once...so i lost about 15 lbs there..
then gained 5 back before i started have gallbladder attacks because i developed gallstones... so i lost about another 10 lbs or so because of the no-fat diet i was on..
You should be checked out by your doc if you're losing weight but i doesnt mean that there is definately something wrong.
good luck

I lost 30 pounds in my first 3 months. I had such bad morning sickness I couldn't keep anything down and I thought I was going to be hospitalized. Talk to your doctor. I was slightly overweight and they suggested I gain 15 pounds at most during my pregnancy. The day after my son was born I weighed less than before I got pregnant. Talk to your doctor, she/he/they is/are the expert(s).

can be normal! If you had a lot of morning sickness or only able to eat certain foods..Given your begining weight, alot of women lose before they gain due to the excess respiration you are expirenceing (feeding for two) DO NOT EAT MORE! just talk with your doctor and keep a food journal (with a mood journal) to keep track of your consumption!
Don't get discouraged, its usually and excesssive QUICK GAIN that you have to worry!
Good luck

It's not normal to lose weight when you are pregnant, but it can happen if you aren't feeling well. I lost 7lbs my first trimester with my daughter due to extreme nausea, but gained it all back in 2 weeks in my 2nd trimester. If you are over weight though, it might be fine. I know you aren;t supposed to gain a smuch weight if you are overweight, 15-25 lbs is what my friend was told. Talk to your doctor.

It's not normal but if your doctor says your baby is healthy that is all that matters. I would be excited. Soon you will reach a platou or even gain a few back, it is normal for heavier women to lose a few from pregnancy. Mostly because they do try to eat healthier during their pregnancy.

average healthy individual should gain 25 pounds roughly, i've had doctors say that if you are really thin gain more or really heavy gain less. You seem to be a bit heavier so your probably fine but have a doctor give you advice, don't trust your babies health to me or anyone else here lol

well if your over weight then it is perfectly safe to loose weight at first.
I started out at 152 and lost 8 lbs and then gained 2 lbs so far.....
I am currently at 147.
My normal weight is 125 so YES it is safe IF your overweight to begin with.
my doctor had no concerns what-so-ever and my mom lost 30 lbs before gaining with each and every one of her 5 kids
