First of all, cats don't get 'colds' exactly - colds are minor respiratory problems that humans get and shake off. Any respiratory problem a cat gets is likely to be serious.

Secondly, the common respiratory infections of cats i.e feline influenza (cat 'flu') don't usually involve coughing. It would be sneezing and discharge from the eyes and nose if it was this. Coughing is a sign of lower respiratory (lung) trouble, such as asthma or lungworm. More rarely in cats, it can be heart trouble.

So what I'm saying is yes, go the vet.

The coughing may be the sign of an allergic reaction to too lots vaccine. If the cough is going untreated, it could exchange into an top respiration an infection. I recommend you call the Vet and ask if there is something you're able to do without bringing kitty back in...whilst all and sundry is allergic to issues, they'd take Benedryl. i do no longer understand what over the counter medicine you could supply a cat...fairly whilst the cat would have shrunk a illness whilst on the Vet's workplace. in the event that they made a mistake like that with my cat, i'd exchange Vets in a heartbeat! Cats are thoroughly and entirely distinctive from canines. they have not got an outstanding style of actual tolerance for circulate-over drugs. as an occasion, giving a cat anesthesia is extremely, very annoying on a cat, while it incredibly is rather no difficulty with a canines. If it have been my cat, i'd difficulty...eating or no longer. Coughing should not be puzzled with attempting to expel fur balls. there's a special distinction. Coughing to expel fur balls would properly be surely remedied with fur ball expectorant. actual coughing isn't solid.

If she sounds congested and her nose is running, then take her to the vet. If it's not a cold and she is coughing, she may need some hairball medicine like Petromalt. My cat coughs alot in the summer if I don't give her petromalt every week. She has had one cold though, and it was a bad one that she ended up taking medication for.
I hope she gets better soon!
