almost 7 weeks, I was in denial that i was pregnant

I did a HPT when I would have been 4 weeks, it came back negative. I knew something was up so I made an appointment and got the blood test done the next week, it came back positive :).
I don't see a point in waiting for weeks on end waisting money on HPT's when a blood test is accurate and easy.
Better to know for sure as soon as possible, so you can start taking your supplements and looking after yourself a bit more.
You hear story's of people taking HPT's for months b4 a positive result. I think it's best not to chance it.

The earliest I've ever got a positive was 9 days past ovulation. It was a faint line but clearly a line. If you are tempted to test that early, make sure you use a REALLY sensitive test like First Response and do it with first morning urine and then get ready to look for the faint line. If you are more patient I'd say try to wait til you are due for your period OR it's been 12 days past ovulation whichever works best for you.

My wife did not get a conclusive positive for the first 5 months on any test we tried, even the blood test she had done at the hospital had to be done 3 times to be sure. But now we have a beautiful baby girl I like to call her child 5...

With my first pregnancy I got a very very faint positive 7 days past ovulation, which means I was 3 weeks exactly pregnant. With this one I got a negative at 7 and10 days past ovulation, and didn't take one again until 14 days past ovulation (the day my period was due) and got a positive, which put me at 4 weeks exactly.

With my first, I was only about 2 weeks. This time I had to get a blood test at about 4 weeks.

I was exactly 4 weeks to the day I found out... It can differ for everyone, but I had a bright blue line at exactly 4 weeks!

11 dayz after conception. So that'll be a week and 4 dayz. I dont know how it did it but it did. I know the exact day i supposed to concieved. I could have a hih level of hormones. I dont know what's going on. Right now i'm 5 weeks 4 days pregnant, counting from my last period

Mine was 13 days past ovulation. My beta was 82 which then almost doubled in 2 days to 136. 14 weeks pregnant via IVF!!! :)
