I am an A/B student. Very responsible and I babysit, yet my mom says I can't go on dates (even chapernoed ones) until I am 16! I don't know why she doesn't trust me! She says that if that is all guys care about then forget it! She even told me that because she couldn't go on dates 4 guys broke up with her because of it! I don't want that to happen! What do I do?

It's your life. Have fun while your young-you won't regret it. Just don't be stupid. Your mom probably just doesn't want you to have a relationship now or date because it will take time away from her.

I'll have to give you a mans outlook on this and Your Mother I'm sure will agree.Boy's of all ages ARE after the same thing. The reason I wouldn't let my 3 daughters date untill they were 18 is because there were No boy's in the City of Columbus Ohio that were good enough for them. There are none in your town that your Mother thinks are good enough for you.Your Mother is right. You will see it as you grow up.Good Luck

What a hardship! Be lucky your parents give a crap and know that A/B students also can get preggers.

Sixteen is fine. Relax. You have plenty of years ahead to screw up your life making bad choices about boys.

Trust me ....

Your mom loves you. You should listen to her. You are too young. Wait until you are 16 or older---you will find a nice guy who love you. Young girls are still lack of wisdom and always do things that they will regret later.

I am 22. I have never have a boyfriend. Many cute guys always said they adored and respect me :)

Please wait and good luck :)

Listen to your mother and don't go on dates.
Do your best to do other relationship building activities, particularly ones that will allow your mother to see and interact with the guys, so she can grow more comfortable with them, if they earn it.

ITS TOO SOON: FOCUS ON THE BOOKS
YOU HAVE TIME TO FALL IN/OUT OF LOVE WHEN YOU GRADUATE AND MOVE OUT TO COLLEGE.
