Why Do people get embarrased about embarrassing themselves?

I dont understand it........ i do it to, but why??

Embarrassed is the way you have learned to be around the people who at one time you considered important to be that way around. Unless in some way repressed this is how you will be most of the rest of your life. And how we go about creating embarrassing situations is a personal thing most of us must deal with and as you notice... we do well at being embarrassed.

You don't get nearly embarrassed enough about embarrassing yourself.

Once, when I was six, I pretended I could tap dance and sing.
Asked onto the stage in front of all my peers and teachers, I sang and danced badly and peed on myself.
That learned me.

Well, if you mean that they accidentally do something that they consider embarrassing, then logically, they would be embarrassed.
