I don't think he will be. He might be the last for a while, but not forever. People are just trying to make this a bigger deal than it is in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, 300 wins is incredible, but it's not as incredible as being the very last one. What do you think?

Every sportswriter who claims that Glavine is the last 300 game winner should be required to stake their BBWAA membership card on this claim. (These guys never have accountability for any of their drivel.)

If any are still drawing breath and the occasional paycheck when Johnson or Martinez nails 300, they're out of business, allowed to write one and only one "mea culpa, I was so stupid" column before turning in their laptops.

For extra fun, go back and review which mediots wrote the same crap -- "we'll never see another" -- when Ryan notched his 300th in 1990, and kick them out too.

They. Are. Wrong. There will be another. There always has been, there always will be. To claim otherwise flies in the face of all historical trends and supporting evidence, and is nothing but playing to some imaginary crowd which nods somnolent assent. It is not the case; there will be another, and any mediot that doesn't realize this is a waste of electrons; they're either lying (by way of pandering) or too damn ignorant to merit their jobs.

Of course, television is worse.

No.

Johan Santana is 29 and has over 90 wins.

Roy Oswalt is 29 and has over 100 wins.

Randy Johnson is going to play for another 2 years and has 284 wins.

Roy Oswalt, Johan Santana and CC Sabathia have the best shots left. Seeing the answerer above said Oswalt and Santana already I'll tell you Sabathia's. He just turned 27 and has 95 wins.
