I'm going on holiday to Mexico in a couple of weeks to get away from all the stresses and strains of every day life. My plan is to sit on the beach getting tremendously drunk whilst listening to some nice relaxing music. But I don't know what, so it would be good to get some recommendations for some nice chilling music, preferably albums. I don't mind if they're from a particular artist or a compliation, but here's some examples of sort of thing I like:

Lene Marlin
Enya
Bob Marley
Cherry Ghost
Some Sting stuff

Not a lot to go on I suppose, but any recommendations would be welcome.

I think the perfect choice would be a band called Amethystium.

Electronic / Ambient music with hints of classical and a bit of gregorian chant thrown in.

If you're into Buddha Bar / Cafe del mar kind of stuff - you'll love it.

Absolutely perfect to sit back and reflect on live in general.

I've put a link in to their site - you can listen a lot of their tracks in good quality.

Please listen to "Shadow to light and Etheral.

You'll drift off peacefully to never never land - trust me.

Have a nice holiday

I like listening to Pink Floyd and other "stoner" albums. They tend to go well with the "tremendously drunk." Songs such as "Comfortably Numb" and "Shine on you Crazy Diamond".

Try classical music. It relaxes me when I am driving. Mozart or Beethoven are good for that. You might try some romantic Latino music too on the radio.

Well a bit of Cafe Del Mar would be superb to listen to on the beach, either that or some Jack Johnson but he's an acquired taste methinks
