Definitely the 80's. Hopefully no one says anything further back than the 70's. Life in America before the 70's had hella problems.

I'd go back to 1928 with all the stock market info about the crash in 1929.. I'd also take manufacturing data on fuel injection systems. First I'd make a fortune buying high risk stock issues, then I'd sell them and make a fortune selling them all short and buying them back when they're worthless.
I'd buy a Model T and wait until 1932 and buy a '32 Ford roadster.
Then I'd wait 'til 1936 and buy a Harley Knucklehead.
In between I'd develop a fighter plane with better performance and range than the Me109 or the Fw190 and make a fortune selling them to England and Russia in the early days of the war.
Thousands of lives would be saved because the war would be shortened due to better fighter cover for our B-17s flying into Germany.

I'd like to go back to Persia in about 559 BC when Cyrus the Great was establishing the Persian Empire under the Achaemenid Dynasty.

From 1775-1825 right here in America. I wouldn't want to stay. Times were too hard. But I'd love the option of going back and forth to witness various events, including finding out to whom my ggggrandfather & mother were born to in 1815.

Regency England - early 1800s. I love the clothes and the rich range of characters who lived at that time - Harriette Wilson, George "Beau" Brummell, the Duke of Wellington, and of course the Prince Regent himself - along with the whole rules of society idea - although knowing my luck, I'd be the poor little scullery maid, working from dawn to dusk, and not the gentleman's daughter, dancing from dusk to dawn!!

The 80's were definitely cool and I wish I'd appreciated them more back then when I was living in them. I also would like to go back to the 50's when Hollywood was still glamorous and not Holly-weird! Plus, the clothes from that time period were pretty cool too. Ladies dressed very glamorously - hats, gloves and high heels were common place.

probably the 40's or 70's. 40's because of all the dancing and music when it was ACTUAL music. and the 70's because that's when Led Zeppelin came into being.
or I'd be in the Middle Ages ruling a kingdom. hahah.

I would go back to the 1940's, to see what the U.S. was like during the war, or possibly to fight in it. Sounds like it would have been my kind of era. Second choice would be to see the Gilded Age era of the U.S., specifically New York City circa 1885-1900.
