I need to get follow up care for my broken ankle( its been 1 month). Should i get an appointment with a podiatrist or orthopedist? whats the difference?

see an orthopedic doctor because they will treat problems above the foot, your ankle. A Podiatrist is licensed to treat only problems of the foot.

podiatrists deal with feet and ankles oNLY. and an orthopedic surgeon deals with All the bones. Go to an orthopedic surgeon and then go to a podiatristy as well.

podiatrist deals with with feet only, orthopedist deals with basically all joints and bones. you can make an appointment with whichever one.
