Ming the merciless was the bad guy with the wicked widows peak on Flash Gordon!
Killed flash in the gas chamber when Flash tried to keep Dale Arden from becoming his next wife! Than he enlisted the help of the hawk men and the tree people to fly the big *** space ship into Ming and Dale wedding!! Ok, that was the 1982(?) movie... not the comic book...
