Got some zebra danios today, got the water checked and it was fine. I got 4, and after they have been in the tank for about 6 hours, 1 danio started darting around very very fast and is now sitting in the water (Not dead) just above the filter breathing very fast - He has been still and breathing for about 10 mins now. Anyone know what could be wrong? As only 1 out of 4 has gone strange. Thanks

But he has been fine for the last 5 hours and 50 mins! Just in the last 10 mins he has freaked out

Just a bit more freaked out by the move than the other danios. I really wouldn't worry about it at all. He will most likely settle right in within a day or two.

Sometimes danios chase each other frantically for hours. Then they rest. This sounds normal. I'd do a 25% water change to be certain the water is OK.

Sounds like something's wrong with the fish, not the tank.

It could be caused by Low dessolved Oxygen tension

he's is either getting used to the tank/temperature change or he is trying to get air
