I clean houses for a living. For the first time in my life I have a lady that is very unhappy with my services. She wrote a very rude review of my work. She was upset that I don't do certain things,(like all the wood work in her house) and that I was charging too much for my services. I have been cleaning for her for almost a year. When I first met her, I gave her a list of the services that I provide(wood work was not on that list) and we settled on a price. How do I tell her that I no longer want to clean her house without sounding rude?

"Ma'am, I don't seem to be able to please you with the work that I've been doing for you. These things happen, unfortunately. I will be cleaning your place for another week and that will be the end of it. Nothing personal but I am sure that my leaving will be in the best interests of us both. Thanks for the opportunity."

Leave her a note reading" I know how important the cleaning of you home is to you. Perhaps it is time for you to try a maid with a little more experience than I have currently. Thank you for the opportunity. "

Why do you care? She has already blasted you in her review.

Simply tell her that it's not in both of your good interest for you to continue working for her.

Simply the truth.

Write her a letter resigning.

"I resign"

that should be good enough.
