Actually alexi he is a traditionalist not really a conservative. Yes most conservatives are traditionalist but as he points out in Culture Warrior you can be democrat and be traditionalist

I totally agree about bill o'reilly beinf very fair. he is one of the most indpendent -minded boradcasters in radio and TV today. PLUS--he actually gets the wheels moving on some issues. As with Jessica's law and getting the Red Cross to get their act together. Bravo O'reilly!!!

I'll refrain from name calling, but I respectfully disagree.

He is arrogant and goes on long tirades against the far left, yet rarely if ever speaks out against the far right. Point in case was his interview with Michael Savage, a right wing extremist, and he never challenged him.

I followed his rantings against Al Franken when Franken published his book " Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them - A fair and Balanced look at the Right". O'Reilly drove and badgered the Fox legal department to file a ridiculous law suit. When it was laughed out of court (it literally was) and dismissed as having no merit, he then said that he had little or nothing to do with the filing of the lawsuit.

At least you know that Sean Hannity is a Republican spokesman. But O'Reilly is a hypocrite while and claims to be un-biased while ranting against Democrats and "The Far Left Wacko's"

There are legitimate conservative voices out there. He's just not one of them.

Finally I have a few acquaintances over at Fox. This is third hand gossip but it seems that most everyone likes Sean Hannityon a personal level, but no one can stand working with O'Reilly. Just rumor.

O'Reilley is a raging lunatic. He's far from fair and balanced. He uses stupid tatics to get his point across yet never listens to anyone else unless they side with him. He should be taken off the air, just for being the A S S he is.

Seems to me, after a few drinks that you'd also be a really big fan of Ben Dover.

sometimes he can be an ar$e cuz he's opinionated and brutal, but thats what makes him entertaining to watch. i dont agree with everything he says but in general he makes sense to me. i dont think he's fair and balanced though, he's conservative.

Crossfire had a good run,
They gave us a whole lot of fun.
But a smart guy named Bill
Gives the nation a thrill,
and that's why his show's #1.
