Keanu Reeves.
Oh, dear God, don't let that helium-filled head near another horror movie. Everyone agrees that Gary Oldman's performance was excellent. Tom Waits and Anthony Hopkins were inspired, too, but the haunting images of that film are Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder proving once and for all that the new kids can't act.
Quoting another online movie critic, "...Keanu Reeves does what he does worst: he has the facial expression of a halibut and rattles off his lines as if he’s in a high school play, complete with a laughable fake British accent."
(Trivia: Winona fans will tell you she has two Academy Award nominations to her credit. Repsond by saying that is the same number of Razzie nominations she holds, too.)
So, now that I've revealed the first thought that crossed my mind -- shudder, shudder ("The Count dude, the way he looked at Mina's picture fills me up with like dread, dude. Its as if I'm part of a big play, a freaking story...that only I know about!") -- I'm going to answer the second.
Bela Lugosi owns the role of Dracula, not by being the best but by being the first (and don't throw Max Schreck in my face or I won't share my restored copy of "London After Midnight" with you).
Now, let's just pray the new DVD release makes Coppola's effort worth watching again. It is due out October 2. Take a peak: http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releases/bram-stokers-dracula.html

...Christopher Lee...big as life...eyes wide and ablaze...mouth opened, with fangs bared in a gnashing, animalistic snarl...blood trailing from both corners of his lips!!! (...courtesy of Hammer's "Horror of Dracula", circa 1958).
...it's an image firmly imprinted in my psyche, with regards to the infamous bloodthirsty Count.....
