Redneck is a little broader than farmers--it refers to anyone who is white-skinned and country-minded. Redneck come in all colors, I have black friends who are rednecks, my kids are half asian and they are rednecks. Rednecks are typically less cultured and less sofisticated than urban people. Rednecks are generally blue collar people who perform manual labor, but not always. When I was in the Phillipines, I found rednecks there, the locals call them mountain people. Did that help? later
