My nephew is a "well-trained" autistic child. He can communicate a little bit. He can't read yet but has a heightened artistic sense and memory.

I also have a well behaved 13 year old Autistic Nephew.
My Nephew loves to watch movies. So we can never go wrong with buying him movies.
He also loves trains...
I think at the ages they are now, getting them a gift card or cash is a good idea.
That way they can go out and pick out something on their own.
Ask his parents what he needs or wants. That will cut out the guess work.
