No it has to do with the fact that parents are allowed to parent anymore!
Not a fan a of rap these days but I did like old school rap!

No, it is people looking out for themselves, and not their children. People are intent on buying the biggest house, having the most stuff, etc. which requires them to work long hours, and not have time for their children.
I grew up listening to heavy metal, and turned out perfectly fine, since my parents were great. I listen to rap now, and don't place limitation on what my child listens to.
