First delete all chat programs and instant messengers so that you want be tempted to log into them....second move the computer to a public area of the house ( that should eliminate the **** viewing) or tell your parents so they can install parental software to block those site. The last part will require a lot of will power---the truth is you can't avoid the computer because you need it for school so when you are studying don't do anything that is not related to your school work, when your work is done you can reward yourself with a bit of web surfing then get up and go do something more active or social! Have fun. :)

If you're having difficulty setting limits for yourself, then leave the job to your parents. I'm sure if they knew you were using study time for internet pursuits, they would step in and put a stop to it. As long as you live under their roof, they have jurisdiction over you, and what you do as far as sticking to the house rules. I admire you for wanting to achieve the long-term goals, but apparently you're lacking in two of the most important elements -- self discipline and motivation.

If you're like me you're only online because you haave nothing better to do. Get busy with life. Live harder, get involved in school, do things you love.
You'll have less time to study, but you won't be on the net and you'll be more happy and focused when you do have to work hard. Besides, if you're a self-proclaimed genius you won't need much time to study.

well, not only u r suffering, many r also facing the same problem. the best thing would be to control ur own mind and set up a goal and no matter what may b u have to achieve it. punish urself for failing and pamper urself for achieving ur goal. good luck!

If you enjoy your time on the computer, who says you should stop? If it interferes with your grades, just manage your time better. I mean, taking an hour out of your life to do school work doesn't really effect computer time.
