Depends on the mood, i would choose to watch a horror over the other two though, think for the adrenalin rush lol... then itd have to be a comedy as long as its a good one!!!! unfunny suppose to be funny films are the absolute worst!! and i like romances when im feeling a little blue..

favourite is horror then comes comedy...but if husband has gone out or gone to bed early i like a good girly romance

Out of the 3choices you gave I would have to go for horror even though I am a big wuss!
However my personal choice would be science fiction followed by action/adventure.
