College is so totally different for each student. If the student is sheltered and not been allowed to make their own decisions they will either be really outlandish and try to many maybe adventurist and dangerous things or they will be an outcast and recluse. If the person has a good social foundation and good values college is a great place to grow, learn, and decide what one's own values really are.

It will be totally unlike high school where you are told what to do, when to do and how to do ti.
You will have to be responsible for getting yourself up on time and getting to class on time.
There will not be anyone bothering you about getting your homework done or even turned in. THESE THINGS WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AND YOURS ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!
COLLEGE CAN BE ALOT OF FUN, BUT YOU NEED TO TAKE OUTSIDE ENTERTAINMENT TO A MINIMUM.
Your teachers will give you a syllabus at the beginning of the semester that will tell you what you need to read by what class, when your tests are, and when any papers that you might have to write will be due. DO NOT IGNORE THIS VERY IMPORTANT PIECE OF PAPER - IT IS ESSENTIAL FOR YOU TO GET EVERYTHING DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER!!!!!!!!!

Good luck and have fun - BUT MAKE SURE THAT YOU GO TO CLASS AND DO NOT SKIP CLASS AS YOU MIGHT MISS SOMETHING.

College will be totally different then HS. It'll be much like your first day in HS but different. It's just a phrase you'll pass and go through it. People happen to what I have been told like college more then HS.
