There is a whole series by Darren Shan these are:
Cirque De Freak
The Vampires Assisstant
Tunnels of Blood
Vampire Mountain
Trials of Death
The Vampire Prince
Hunters of the Dusk
Allies of the Night
Killers of the Dawn
The Lake of Souls
Lord of the Shadows
Sons of Destiny
Bloodline by Kate Cary
Good Ghouls Do by Julie Kenner
also by Ms Kenner is The Good Ghouls Guide to Getting Even.
If you think you are ready for a more adult book try anything by Anne Rice, she wrote The Interview With A Vampire novel and lots of subsequent novels from that.
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova is one of my personal favourites as the Vampire in that likes Librarians, and I just happen to be a librarian!
ENJOY my charming young blood doner

Dhampir by Barb and J.C. Hendee. Nowhere near as brilliant as Meyer, but a good read none the less. By the way Meyer's new book "Eclipse" is due out tomorrow (8/7/07). Hope this helps.

The twilight series was amazing! There is also The Morganville Vampire series about a 16 yr. old in college in a small Tx. town run by vamps. This is a really good series.

'Fevere Dream' by George R R Martin
Precis...Abner Marsh has had his wish come true - he has built the "Fevre Dream", the finest steamship to sail the Mississippi. Abner hopes to race the boat some day, but his partner is making it hard for him to realise his dreams. Joshua York put up the money for the ship, but now rumours have started about the company he keeps, his odd eating habits and strange hours. As the "Dream" sails the great river, it leaves in its wake one too many dark tales, forcing Abner to face down the man who made his dreams become reality.
A very different novel about vampires - about how they could really exist.
And for a bit of vampire comedy, Carpe Jugulum by Terry Pratchett

Sunshine, by Robin McKinley. It's not specifically aimed at young adult, but the author has written for that age group, and it's enthralling without being hard going. Someone described it as 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' meets 'Chocolat'. which is pretty fair.
