My internet explorer v. 7 is not working. It will load about half way and then freeze. I have reset my DSL Modem and checked the proxy settings and everything looks fine. I know I am connecting to the internet because other programs that use the internet connection are working fine, with the exception of AIM.

How do I fix this? What can I do? I've tried restarting after clearing my browser history and still am unsuccessful.

Thank you!

You could try restarting your computer several times, and if that doesn't work, reinstall Internet Explorer 7. If your connection is fine, then there should be no reason to call your internet service, but if you're unsure, then contact them and describe your problem.

Sounds like a corrupted file.

Try going into Add/Remove programs and remove IE7. This will revert you to IE6.

Then reboot your PC. This will refresh everything in your memory and registry to IE6.

Go to the Micorsoft IE7 page: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/ie/default.mspx

Download and install a fresh copy directly from Microsoft.

This will at least get you going with a fresh and up to date copy of IE7. This should fix your problem.

Hope this helps.

I would try reinstalling IE...

Another alternative is to install Firefox and use this as your primary browser. I've had Firefox since its conception and it is wonderful.
