I'm asking you wonderful people of the hockey section because, honestly, you can vote for the same option over and over on NHL.com. Lol. And I value your opinions.

Here are the options:
- Gomez/Jagr (NYR)
- Spezza/Heatley (OTT)
- Nylander/Ovechkin (WSH)
- Briere/Gagne (PHI)
- Thornton/Cheechoo (SJS)
- Weight/Kariya (STL)
- Vyborny/Nash (CBJ)
- Other (TELL ME WHO!)

If you want to explain your choice, that's cool.

My vote is Spezza/Heatley (OTT). I think Ottawa's first line is going to tear up the NHL like they did in the playoffs (but not in the finals, obviously) last season. Jason Spezza's only 24 this season, but he's one year older in hockey years and I'm sure the playoffs bettered his game. Dany Heatley's had two seasons in a row now with at least 50 goals. Together, they're impending doom.

TB - For sure, Vinny & Marty could be most dangerous! There's a lot of duos this poll could have included though.

I'm surprised they didn't pair Sidney Crosby up with anyone since he's everyone's favorite player. LOL.

There is no better duo in the NHL than Martin St. Louis and Vincent Lecavalier. How Nash/Vyborny made it up there, I have no idea. Sakic/Smyth will be better than Nash/Vyborny and Kariya/Weight. That list is stupid for not including St. Louis/Lecavalier.

Spezza/ Heatly. Two years ago they won the president's trophy. Last year they took it to the finals. That top line is killer. gomez isn't a scorer, Nylander and Oveckin don't play on a team that can really ever get things going (though that might be one of this year's biggest surprises)

Briere/Gagne stand a good chance of challenging for the top pair,
Thornton/Cheecho- I don't really know about the west that much as I only get to see them 10 times a year.
Weight/Kariya- ditto previous.
Nash/ can't spell- play on a miserable team. Nash wonders what the playoffs are like.

Tampa - Vinny and Marty hands down! Combined for 210 points last season and tore up Brodeur in the playoffs...a series they can't be blamed for losing. Over the last three season they have averaged 38 goals and 85 points each. No weak injuries, no time off, these guys go out and play every game as well as anybody, but without the hype of some of these other pairings.

I will also have to vote for Spezza & Heatley but Crosby and Malkin should have a big year as well.
Next would be Thornton and Cheechoo.

Gotta go with Other for Datysuk and Zetterberg. When Babcock paired those two back up halfway through last season they, along with Holmstrom were the hottest line in the league until Zetterberg was sidelined with back problems. Those two always seem to be on the same page, and can always find each other in the offensive zone to setup scoring chances. Look for that line to rack up alot of points this season.

I'm going to have to go other and I can't believe the NHL didn't put them as a choice. The Euro Twins. Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg. Datsyuk, with injuries recorded 87 points. He signed a 7 year deal with the Wings so that should take the free agent pressure off him and Hank and Pav will only get better. 58 other goalies in the NHL fear them. They are a 1-2 punch.

My vote also goes to Spezza/Heatley. As much as I wanted to say Briere/Gagne I know that Ottawa's first line is just amazing.

i think brier and gagne might be pretty good but ultimately they are all dangerous...including spezza and heatley....the problem with most of these is that some are new combinations so they wont have chemistry from game one....the spezza and heatley as well as thorton and cheechoo should click instantly

Spezza and Heately for sure. They been the best for last couple years. But the other choices, besides the San Jose and Columbus pairs no one else has played together yet.
