I want to change the rear speakers without taking the whole back panel of the car off and I wondered if this was possible.

Unfortunately there is no easy way. The factory time to replace the rear speakers is just under 2 hours so it will probably take you at least 3 hours to do it. The rear package shelf has to come out and to get that out the rear seat back, rear side (1/4 panel) trim panels (including rear seat belts I think) and the rear shelf side panels have to come out. there's no easy way to tell you how to do it. The rear shelf, 1/4 trim and side panels are held on by a variety of styles of clips that typically get broken when you try to pry the panel out.

unless you're comfortable taking the interior out of the vehicle, I'd advise taking it to the dealer and paying them to do it. That way if anything is damaged it will be on them to repair it to original conditon.

hope that helps
