You really need more infomation.... but my best advice, especially since it looks like it's a serious criminal charge, is get a lawyer. Look in the Yellow Pages or call your local Bar Association or Legal Aid -- they're all in the phone book.

People get wrongly accused of crimes all the time. Some cops just want to close a case so they give it to the DA and they just file, but then they have to prove the case. To get justice done, the person has to prove their case and if they are not guilty, case over, justice is done. If they're convicted, holy crap. That's what appeals can be for. You could try to pull a "Matlock" and show who really did it, to convince the court and the DA they are wrong.

The first point I would make is that the DA is the prosecutor and does not make decisions for the court, they only present their side. You should find an attourney to represent your side to the court. The DA would have his mind made up on any case that he chooses to prosecute. Get a lawyer!!!

If you were a witness or can provide an alibi, you should contact the persons defense lawyer and explain to him what you know or saw.

If you are basing this on "I know so and so and I know she/he would never do something like that" then it's time to wake up. Ted Bundy seemed like a great guy too...

Were you wrongly accused or do you have evidence that someone else was? I am having trouble deciding which you mean.
