1200 cc is a 1.2 liter engine. It just sounds "big" and motorcycles have engines as small as 49cc, some smaller. It is amazing how much sped you can get out of a very small engine if it's put together right. The little Yugo cars had 1100cc or 1.1 liter engines and they were just as spunky as other 4-banger cars with four cylinder and five speed manual transmissions that had slightly bigger engines.

My wife used to drive one and it got 40 MPG on the highway which is impressive for a basic carbureted engine.

Good Luck!

Yes the saturn engine is 700cc larger. You take the liter amount and move the decimal point three digits to the right making the saturn a 1900cc engine.

Twelve hundred cc's is 1.2 liters. So the Saturn is bigger, but not by all that much. The original VW beetles had engines of about 1500 cc.
