I was soo expecting an A for my class, I don't understand how I got a B. My teacher provided me with the syllabus as an explanation, but that still doesn't help me: Here are my grades:
84.78 -- Test 1
60 -lowest grade is dropped --Quiz 1
62.5 --- quiz 2
100 ---quiz 3
87.5 --- Test 2
100 --- quiz 4
89.47 ---Test3
80 ---- quiz 5
100 ---- quiz 6
70 ----- quiz 7
-----------------------------
774.25/9 = 86.02 without extra credit points and/or
extra 10 points for being the only person to make 100% on quiz 3.
Extra credit is worth 3-5 points per question and I did 21
questions, so even if I only got the minimum of 3 points for each question I should still get atleast a 90 which is an A.
So I'm really not sure how my average/grade turned out
to be 87.27%
Quizzes = 40%
Tests 1, 2, 3 = 30% each
So can you please help me figure out what my grade should be. Is it really a B?

You have to weight the quizzes, tests and final:
30%(avg of quizzes with lowest score dropped) + 40%(avg of test 1 and test 2) + 30%(final)
so
0.3(85.42) + 0.4(86.14) + 0.3(89.41) = 86.923
86.923 without the extra credit you speak of.
I can't tell from your description of how the extra credit was awarded and what category it fell under.

You say
"Quizzes = 40%
Tests 1, 2, 3 = 30% each"
That adds up to a lot more than 100%. Did you mistype something? I'm going to assume that the tests are only 20% each.
Your test scores were 84.78, 87.5, 89.47.
Your quiz average is (62.5 + 100 + 100 + 80 + 100 + 70) / 6 = 85.42.
So, not counting extra credit points, your grade would be
84.78 * 0.2 + 87.5 * 0.2 + 89.47 * 0.2 + 85.42 * 0.4 = 86.52.
It's not clear where extra credit points are applied.
If they're applied to one of your quiz scores (which seems most likely), then you would need 53 extra credit points to raise your grade above 90% (that is, provided my guess that quizzes are 40% and tests were actually only 20% of the grade each is correct).
I would check with your teacher to see how many extra credit points you earned, and where they were applied.
Your teacher should give you a full breakdown of how your grade was computed if you request it. I'd suggest you ask your teacher to explain what your final totals were and how they were computed in more detail.

Apparently, you have already tried to discuss this with your teacher who responded by giving you the syllabus. If you have any chance of getting an A, then here is what you must do:
Use the information in the syllabus and your scores/extra credit to calculate your % in the class.
Even if the % is less than 90, but close, show it to your teacher with a well written explanation (show your work) of how you arrived at that number, explaining that you used the syllabus.
Since you got a good grade on the final, it is very possible that you did get an A in the class.

well first off if u got 3 pts each for ur extra credit that would be a grade of 63. how did u get 90? and u really dont have to do the math cuz if u just look at ur test grades, you only have 3 a's so how do u expect a b average to be an A. everyone always thinks extra credit would balance out ur work but in all actuality it weighs less thn everything else so u have to do an abundant amount in order for it too add up!!

Teachers make mistake too. I found a mistake with one of my college instructor, went to her office, and got things worked out. She changed my grade to an A.
Give that a try. Good luck!
