I keep getting an error message like this no matter what media player I use (Playback failed due to a problem with the video subsystem. Lowering your screen resolution or color depth may fix the problem) I do set screen area to 800x600 pixels, and your color depth to 16-Bit still no help. I am a comp idiot please help!!

Make sure you have "codec" loaded you can go online and download it , second try to use VLC again you can go online and dwonlad it ,with VLC you do not need Window Media Player or Quicktime ,or RealPlayer to open an audio and video file it almost opens all kind of vdieo+Audio format
good luck
