People miss questions everyday. Why should this be new? Who says conservatives aren't upset? His spending is out of control. Yes, he's bankrupting the government and the attempt to legalize 12 million illegal aliens would have sealed the deal.
You notice how many times the 2008 candidates are mentioning everything but Bush. It's because after he leaves office he'll more than likely be relegated to some corner, never to be heard from again. We're all counting down the time until he's out of office.
Don't think it's just a liberal thing.

Well, I brush my teeth to avoid plaque twice a day. But I am all for the truth.
And in this situation, I was probably not on line or I would have answered it.
And to answer the original question, I suppose Bruce Bartlett would have accused President Bush of doing that because he honestly believes that to be the truth. I didn't hear the quote or see any articles on it, so I don't know what back up he has for that accusation, though.

What's this have to do with many of us Conservatives? I'm the first one to speak out and say that Bush is NOT conservative. If anything, he's one of the most liberal presidents we've ever placed into office.
I'm not thrilled about his fiscal irresponsibility one bit. I simply won't sit around degrading and ranting about this administration day after day. Why bother? His time is almost up and I hope that we end up with a real conservative in office this time. That certainly wouldn't be a Socialist.

Have you noticed that no one answered your question? But instead they used a spelling error as reason to avoid the question and ridicule you. Frankly, I don't give a hoot if anyone gives me thumbs down. I think you are a fair and honest contributor to this section. I don't even think you should expect any serious answers from these people(don't hold your breath while waiting.) You know what's odd, why do Republicans call those who don't agree with them liberals?

I can see that your situation is your incapability to peer the change among being "politically right" and being factually right. Maybe a few day you are going to be taught, however alternatively Libs have disorders studying new stuff. They were making a song the equal track for one hundred years.

The bankrupting of the American economy started with Nixon when he removed us from the Bretton-Woods agreement and took us off the gold standard.
I think that Reagan, in his heart, really believed in "trickle-down" economics. It didn't work though, and the wealth of this nation is getting concentrated into fewer and feer hands.
Just a quick note: it's spelled "plague". "Plaque" is bacteria on your teeth. I know spell checking is a pain, but I figured you might want to edit the question before someone tries to insult you for it.

The truth is people can only profit at the expense of others .
Once you see that people who produce nothing are worthless and should not receive any payment or people who work for governments are evil and worthy only of the smallest sums of money you will find that the world is much better off .
When robber barons and snake oil salesman are hung from trees and lairs and cheats are dumped in shallow graves at the road side then we will begin to see and feel for the first time what freedom is .
To have the full benefit of what we produce in our own hands and not those of others .

i dont know who bruce bartlet is but the revenue of the US has never been higher in all of history and the deficit has been reduced the last three years running, all while reducing taxes for every citizen.
three digit stock market increases are so routine now that they dont even make the news.
unemployment is less then 5 percent.
it must be a pretty good day for America's war effort if you guys have have to resort to picking on the our strongest economy since the fifties. keep up your spirits, more American soldiers will probably die soon.

That would all depend on what you have engraved on your plaque. For instance, if your plaque read "For Dedicated Service to the Loopy Liberal Cause" I'd avoid it like the plague
