I think I was 7 or 8... As early as possible since there were twelve of us... fourteen including my Mom & Dad. The girls (8) did the dishes, laundry & vacuuming & such... the boys (4) took out the trash & did the lawn. One time we all got on the roof in the summer & scrubbed it with soapy - bleach water til it was white again. I also remember ripping up the carpet in the hallway, livingroom & diningroom & scraping all the muck off, until we got to the beautiful terazzo floor underneath.

I was 7, but my daughter who is 5 has been helping for about 2 or 3 years already.
