How freaking ridiculous is it?
We're on a complete ban because of the "draught". Uh huh...look into it...it's called summer.
I'm miffed because all my flowers are dying

I'm in the Southeast and we always have dry summers.
Pity my kids can't run through the sprinklers like I used to as a child.

No.
I am fortunate enough to have chosen to live by the largest freshwater source in the world, could we please stop dumping waste in in already?
I don't know where you live, but some parts of the country such as Southern California and well the entire Southwest, have too many people for the natural water to support. Arizona was not meant to have golf courses and swimming pools. If we got a water ban in the Great Lake States, that would be cause for concern, but in the desert, it should be expected.

Hiya Veg.
(By the way, it's "drought"... sorry.)
Over here there is an interfaith commission investigating a way of banning the water from falling out of the sky.
Back home (in WA) they are just about to open the 2nd desalination plant for Perth, will provide 34% of all the metro area's water needs, pretty neat, eh?
[Cost a bloody arm and leg, though!]

Here in Victoria, Australia we are on pretty tight water restrictions, yes it's annoying but if we didn't have them, there'd be no water left by the time my kids grow up. We have drought resistant plants in our garden.

yup can't use outside water. Dig a well if you want. Id rather have a ban then let people waste the most important resource we have on keeping their lawns green

If you live out west, there is very little water. Go out after midnight with a watering pail and WATER them. My son uses a hose.
