Well, in Canada, we have a person called the Auditor General, and they investigate the government and write these great reports every year that make politicians apologize and resign.

The power would shift to those companies. Instead of politicians pandering to lobbyists, they would pander to these companies. Us common folk would remain out of the loop and would continue to be betrayed.
