You cant see eyes in and ultrasound, only eye sockets and they do look huge.

If you had a 4d done, the eyes do look a little large compared to the size of the growing scull.

Not to sound mean or rude, but at that stage or pregnancy, they all look like little aliens! Their bodies at that stage are the largest part of their body. If there were anything wrong, I am sure that the ultrasound tech or your doctor would have picked up on it. Don't worry. You should have another ultrasound around 30 weeks, and you will see a little person in there, not looking so much like something from an alien movie! :)

yes thats normal. Not to be nasty or anything but early in your pregnancy the ultrasound will sorta make your baby look like an alian but if you go back in your last month or two of pregnancy and have another ultrasound done your baby will look completly normal. I thought the same as you at first then I had another ultra sound in my last month (9 month) and i actually got to see what my son was going to look like like when he was born and to tell you the truth it was almost perfect.

the reason the baby's eyes look so big is because your baby is not completly formed yet.

a good website to compare or see how your baby forms is www.babycenter.com

they will email you weekly to show you pictures and resorces for certain questions that you have or might have. they also help with free or cheep products for your baby. they sent me coupons for some products

That is completely normal. What you are seeing is not your babies eyes but the babies eye sockets. I know it is a little scary when you first see it, a baby almost looks like an alien when you see them in an ultrasound.

The eyes, once fully formed, don't grow much throughout a persons life. Basically the size they are when fully formed are the size they'll be the day you die. Given that the baby's head is still forming and growing it'll appear small for the size of the eyes.

It's nothing to worry about, just a quirk of human development.

Good luck with the baby!

It's normal. At 12 weeks the baby has not developed enough to see anything clearly. To me, they look like aliens at this stage. If anything was wrong the doctor would have told you. Don't worry.

The baby's head is as big as the rest of his/her body in the beginning. You weren't seeing the actual eyes at 12 weeks anyway because the baby's eyes are fused shut to protect them as they develop.

Both of my boys looked like little aliens in their ultrasound at that stage. They are perfectly normal looking now though. I think your baby will be okay ;)

Baby eyes are usually big compared to other features of the baby's body. This is normal.
