I got divorced 9 years ago and my ex-wife was suppose to have my name taken off of the home loan. She never did this and I had to threaten legal action before she and her new husband went and refinanced the house, paying this loan off. Problem is that they fell behind many times and it affected my credit. I have a copy of the divorce decree which says she's responsible.
How do I get the loan company to remove this from my credit file or do i need to contact each bureau??

Unfortunately, you are pretty much stuck. The mortgage company had a contract with your and your divorce decree isn't binding on them. Just be thankful that your ex finally did refinance and get your name off. There are all sorts of horror stories of repo and foreclosure and getting stuck pay the balance off.

You might try putting an explanation of those late payments in your credit file. Should you apply for a mortgage, that would be the time to explain the negatives and show a copy of the divorce decree.
