I got my daughter a small leather Coach purse when she turned 12 this month. Don't get something just because everyone has one. My daughter got one because she's very responsible, takes care of her stuff and really likes Coach. Start with a small model like the leather Basic that would go with your age. Your Mom may be thinking you're too young for a $400 Carly bag and I'd agree with that.

Don't get one because everyone else has one. That's not a good excuse for anything. Why would you want to be like everyone else anyway? Especially at your age, it's important to express yourself. And I'm sure you're not like everyone else. You want to be original and creative. Why jump on the bandwagon and try to be just like everyone else. Coach purses are just a trend that will go away just as fast as it come on the fashion scene. If I were you, I'd start my own trend. Get a purse that no one else is wearing, or create your own. So what if people talk about you. Being different means you have creative style. Be yourself and express yourself!
BUT, if you MUST have a Coach purse, instead of asking your mom to get you one, save up money and get it yourself. They are pricey, but that's the only other suggestion I have for you.
Also, don't go to eBay and try to get one on there, they are ALL fakes!

I am 18 and I don't have a lot of the things you are asking for. COACH purses are very expensive and they are only material items. Maybe when you are older and working, your mother might help you get one or you can get it on your own...but don't focus on what other people have..they are nice bags, but I bet you if everyone in the world stopped using coach 2morrow, you wouldn't even want the bag anymore...
If your mom is that nice..she will get you one for christmas or your 16th, 18th, or 21st birthday as long as you act super good and get great grades, help clean the house, cook, etc.

I too want a coach purse, but that kind of money is too much. I agree with funlovin. Grab a different kind of purse and take great care of it. I have two jobs, and am 19 years old and I still am not ready for a real good purse because honestly...it will go out of style in like two weeks lol. There are so many other cute purses out there, but if thats truley what you want, sit her down and tell her to have her give you one of her most precious purses and see how good you take care of it :)

You're 12 and you want an 800 dollar purse? I'm 24 and I don't even have a 50 dollar purse. You dont need a coach bag, just because theyre cute.. infact, nobody needs a coach bag. If your 12 year old friends have coach bags, then they have parents with a crap load of money who dont care how they waste it.

Well you know if you dont have a REASON to carry a purse around with you all the time, at that age, then you dont need it and all it is going to do is collect dust in the back of your closet. I am older then you and usually need to bring a purse around with me so it is more acceptable that I have one.
Ok: #1 you are not telling us if you want her to buy it for you or if you are going to buy it with your own money.
If you are expecting her to buy it for you and she wont she probably has reasons why she doesnt want to buy it. Here are some I guess that she might have.
#1) you dont need it and dont need to carry a purse around.
#2)She doesnt want to spend the money if you arent gonna use it when you buy one of those purses you drop a wad f money.
#3)She doesnt want you to want things just because other people have it and she wants you to appreciate what you have already.
Ok I also think you are to young to have a boyfriend ppl started dating in my grade in 5th grade but i wasnt allowed to till 7th.
Also I wasnt allowed to wear makeup until i was in 7th grade and these were all reasonable things.
When you turn 13 you are allowed to do more things but that comes with more responsibility.
Now tell her you will save up to buy it with your own money. If she still says no. ask her why but be polite. If you dont find it fair dont start whinning about it and yelling. she is your mother and you have to respect her desicions. Maybe when you get older discuss it with her again but i still thin you should spend your own money on that kinda thing.
If you REALLY want one you have to prove it to her.
If you seriously only want it because your friends have it I dont think you should get one either.
Talk it out with her without getting upset and listening to what she has tro say and nagging her wont work. Also if you say "...but everyone else has one..:(" She will defiently say NO.
Well hope this helps♥

First off, just cause everyone has one doesn't mean you should follow the crowd. And 2nd most kids have "fake" coach purses. So if you really want to fit in go to the malls and stores will sell fakes purses aka immatations. You should really consider if they money could be better spent on something important then materialistic items.

Help? Help? Girl, okay, let me "help" you. You are acting like a spoiled brat. Have you ever sat down with your parents and looked at the bills? Groceries, clothes, electricity, water, a/c, heat, gas, cable, internet, phone-land line and cell phones?
A coach purse? I could fill both my kids dressers with clothes from Walmart, and have money left over for myself-which I would probably still spend on them as bad as I need clothes, for what you are trying to get your mother to spend on a damn purse. ONE brand name purse. Stop being shallow before it kills you.
There's your help.
Edit:Oh. This is for the other posters. This is what baby girl just sent me via private message.

Spoiled frikkin brat. I rest my case. PAAAAHAHAHA! A little 12 year old just told me to kiss it. I wish she was right here. I would teach about corporal punishment. Something she has NEVER experienced. LET my daughter talk to me like that. I wish she would.

If you can afford it, then you don't need to convince your mom. Coach purses are not cheap. Plus, you're only 12, there's nothing for you to put in the purse.
