Usually, the instructions say that any line appearing after 10 minutes should not count, and definitely not a few hours later. I've heard of many tests that are negative when you are pg, but I've never heard of getting a pos. test when you're not pg (unless you're on certain hormone meds).
If I were you, I'd buy another test. Otherwise, call your doctor and ask for a blood test to be done - that would be the most accurate. Good luck.

Cheap or not, most tests are made the same way by the same companies. My positive line was so faint that you had to be almost 6 inches from a light to see it. Re-test in a week, and I bet that like will be darker. The longer any test sits, the darker the line gets, so dont go off of that.
Try a digital. If enough HCG shows up, they will tell you pregnant or not with no iffy lines.

The same thing happened with me, i took 2 at home pregnancy tests and they both did the same thing. The line came out very light. So i didnt know what to think, so i made an app with my doctor and i went in for a test there. I am pregnant. It doesnt matter if the line is dark or light, as long as it comes out some what, So most likely you are pregnant. Read the directions on the test, it should say something about it too. Also try a go to a doctor and take the test there to cuz no matter what if you are or not your guna hav to go to the doctor and there even if you're sure your pregnant they test you anyways.

One of mine was so light my husband was sure I was imagining it. I was pregnant. Test again in a few days with first morning pee. This allows the pregnancy hormone level to rise a little and its more concentrated with first morning pee. The line should be darker if you are pregnant and you'll be more cofident with the result. My sister bought cheap tests and they all showed a faint line when the test line got wet, even with water. Get a good test and use first morning pee.

Test results are not accurate after a certain period of time. You need to look at the results within the designated time period. Read the instructions! If you read it within the correct time period and one line is still lighter, that's ok! Two lines, no matter how dark or light either is, means a positive test!

Yes, you are probably pregnant. Yes, even if it was a cheap test. When I was pregnant, the line was very faint. It took a few minutes for it to show up. Congratulations! Babies are a joy.

As long as the line appeared BEFORE 10 minutes were up, you are pregnant. I would test again in the morning. good luck.
