If you've had any trouble with fresh, don't go to salt. It is harder. In your 30g tank, once its been cycled I would put in some angles. They grow to be pretty big and are beautiful. Sometimes, if you are lucky they will pair off and lay eggs. Then I would also and some smaller not too aggressive fish to fill in some space and keep the tank from looking empty. Some fancy guppies or mollies would be good because they are nice looking fish that regularly give birth. The babies would be good food for the angels .

Try the website listed below. They have a great selection on freshwater and saltwater fish for the tank size you possess. If you do decide to work with saltwater fish, look under fish and select "marine". They have a great selection for starter saltwater fish.
