I have been having a pressure/painful sensation when urinating. It is worse at the end to the point where I have to stop and start the flow. I have mentioned it several times to my doctor and he checked me for yeast infection, BV, bladder infection and I don't have any of those. He said it probably is just a symptom of the pregnancy and my uterus on my bladder. But would it start this early. I am just over 18 weeks and this has been a problem for weeks now. It is getting very annoying and uncomfortable. Has anyone else had this happen?

It is definately not a yeast infection!!! They treated me for it just in case and I still have pressure.

For some people that pressure can start really early. I'm sorry to tell you this but I had it the entire time. I thought I was just being a baby about it, but come to find out the pressure was due to the fact the baby was in breech position. We didn't even know she was breech until my water broke a month early and they did an ultrasound. Hopefully yours won't be breech. Hopefully it's just the position she chose to be in in your uterus. If the baby implants closer to your bladder it can create more pressure.

I think I was about 15 weeks when this kicked in.

Its the uterus on the bladder, and its painful at the end because the bladder is irritated from the weight of the uterus, and sore once its empty. Its normal.

Dont hold your pee, its the best thing you can do. It will change a little as the uterus grows, but the pressure and pain will stick around. Eventually you'll have to kinda pull your belly up a little to be able to pee better.

Totally normal.

I am 27 weeks and I have been having the same problem as you for quite awhile now. I told my doctor that it felt like the babies head was engaged already and it was extremely painful when sitting on the toilet. She said that it is common especially in second pregnancies. She did suggest physical therapy for my sciatic nerve and pelvis. Other than that there really isn't much you can do.

give it some time it might go away cuz i had the same problem when i was preg with my daughter cuz she was riding so low.
All us women hold our pee to long u may not think so but we hold ours a whole lot longer then men do. So try going to pee more frequently so it will take some of the pressure off ur bladder.
