The Edge from U2. The guy is not only a great guitarist, but he gets so experimental with what he does. I love your basic bare bones guitar playing, but The Edge just takes things to a whole nother level.

I think Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton are among the best. Also would say Motor City Madman himself, Ted Nugent!
