Because ..... I'm dead and they're still growing.

Well, Strictly speaking I'm one of the Undead but I still had to die first in order to get there ..... it's a long story and it's all Jason's fault.

riiiiight. actually hair and nails do not grow after we die. Since we're dead, our skin eventually dehydrates and shrinks around the cuticle or folicle. This gives the appearance that the hair or nail has grown, when in reality, your skin has shrunk.

No, as the skin shrinks it recedes giving the illusion that they are still growing, infact they are just as dead as the rest of the body.

No, they don't grow............ that's a common misconception. What happens is that the skin "shrinks", thus giving the impression of nails and hair growing

yes, they are classed as human waste the body will still continue to make this waste for a few days after death

actually i saw this on tv the other night! they dont its just that the skin starts shrinking and decaying...giving the appearance that they are still growing! so you must be just rotting away? hope that helps xx

That is a misconception.

The skin shrinks, revealing more of the hair that used to be buried below scalp. It gives the appearance of growth.
