It's fine for the baby, but many advise against it because it is physically uncomfortable for the mommy.

Heck no Mamma...Youd know if you were hurting the baby or not. Your body will protect the baby through your normal routines. Which explains why some women work full time, some exercise and others sit around and do nothing. If you have always slept on your belly than your body knows to take care of that baby. Your the mommy you can tell if you are hurting it or not.
Good Luck! Youll be losing sleep before you know it!

Hey - I slept on my stomach until, what, 4-5 months along. And was comfortable. So long as there is no added pressure is added - go ahead. Allow Mother Nature to tell you when to flip to your side. Trust me you CANNOT sleep in a position that the baby does not want you to be in - even flat on your back in the 8-9 months.

It wont hurt the baby since the baby is protected in a nice warm padded sack of water. I would think it would be uncomfortable for you. Its kind of like sleeping on a watermelon! If it concerns you just turn more onto your side. I personally can't sleep on my belly but if that is what works for you then go for it!!

Well, I slept on my belly till I was 32 weeks, and I asked the same question, what they told me, was that if I could still feel the baby move, and she's active, and everything is normal, then there should be nothing wrong with it.

I find myself sleeping on my belly too. I just went to the doctors and I'm 21weeks. The doctor said that the baby is doing wonderful. So I think we are ok.

Any sleep is good sleep while pregnant.
its not going to hurt either of you.
Your lower limbs would lose oxygen and fall asleep, causing you to roll over, before the baby was really effected by any crimped arteries.

Nope, it can't hurt your baby. I slept on my stomach with my first and I'm 6 months with my second, still sleeping on my stomach. You can sleep however you are comftorable and the baby will be fine.
