Jungle Book by a long run. Easily the best songs which integrate with the story and the most memorable characters. Simple plot which doesn't stop or stall until the end and doesn't rely on magic for your attention.

If you ever wondered if the Disney animators ever partook of mind altering drugs just look at Fantasia and The Three Caballeros.
Both are EXCELLENT films. Caballeros is just so trippy.
Jungle Book is also a fine film... lots of fun.

My 5 favorites are:
5) Monsters, Inc.
4) Toy Story 2
3) Toy Story
2) Alladin, Mulan (tie)
1) Dumbo
I know that's actually 6, but I couldn't choose which one to leave off. By animated, I assume you mean cartoon.
