why don't you phone the person? they'll probably appreciate that a lot more than a text. if you really want to send a text then you could always put something along the lines of, hey (the persons name), just wanted to say thankyou for (whatever they did) and to say how much it means to me.
that's what i'd put anyway. hope that helps you

If you want to thank them with class and etiquette, your best idea is still a written note!
If you keep it short, but share your heart's feelings, you will be doing that person such a great honor! They will continue to serve others and grow from your kindness and thoughfulness.
