Why do Capricorns seem so dry emotionally?

This person has it as her ascendant sign, and i swear, i feel like i am with a robot at times.

Just she seems to almost be totally lacking feelings.

Seems very reserved.

btw, i have Scorpio as my ascendant.

I am feeling i need someone who is more expressive or something.

I'd say they are not all emotionally dry. That is a false concept in which you may want to make a person fit into. It can be that you are "prejudiced", and want her to be like that. I'd say that this sign shows people that are extremely ambitious sometimes, want to succeed in their goals, even in relationships they can try really hard to make it work well. No nonsense-talk folks, be witty, generous and acceptive and she will love you. Make a good conversation, and she'll respect you. Be light, bright and sunny, and she will want to be in your company. Tell her your worries, and she'll try to make up for you. If you think that she is dull and boring, you are really not the best choice for her or you should think that she reflects only you and your innermost feelings. You know after all girls are not boys...but they may really be sexually attractive, if they trust you enough, and get emotional response. They are usually faithful. The thing that can make her "cold" is continuous rejection or unintelligence, lack of respect, humourless attitude or unthoughtful behaviour. About astrology - of the signs I know - in this context I would agree that there can be difficulties with air signs Gemini (or Libra). Aquarians are much better. Maybe as being more cautious may seem to be cold, but it is of course not true, if you haven't done anything to hurt them. If you look at the Sun signs only, I'd say by experience, that Capricorns like Pisces, maybe Cancer, and they may respect and admire Scorpio. All water signs. I am not sure about other earth signs - Taurus may just seem to use you for their own purposes, and Virgo can sometimes be just mean, nasty in speech and calculate the money - Fire signs may be; Aries can be a good friend If you have enough to give him - especially personal attention, Leo - well, you have to be good looking and well off for him - Sagittarius may be most honest of them, has a good heart after all, propably most faithful of them also. Yep - the Sun signs seldom make you happy, but maybe there's something to it if you don't know the person from childhood or have not made an emotional bond to her early in life.

Boy are you wrong!! I'm a Cap, so take what I say to the bank....

Caps are the most loyal people around. If we are older than, say three years, we have learned about betrayal the hard way. Rather than risk a false friendship, we size up the situation. Talk is cheap. Loyalty takes effort (unless you are a Cap - LOL).

Caps also have a very astute mind. (Once again...We are ALWAYS sizing up a situation before we make any moves). Being extremely considerate of others' feelings, we do not want to burden anyone unneccessarily; so, we are just making sure that the other person is REALLY interested in what we have to say.

Mental labor takes a lot more effort than physical labor (i.e. flapping one's jaws). This is very tiring for Caps. Why expend the energy on someone who's not worth it? (Ah, the Capricornian pragmatism comes out once again...). We are the workhorses of the zodiac. This is to be applauded, not denigrated. SOMEBODY has to do the work! Remember, the sin is slothfulness....

Open up to your Cap. Be honest with her, but tactfully so, and be especially loyal. We can SMELL the b.s. coming through someone's veins! Be persistent in encouraging her to open up to you. I promise that you will be utterly charmed by the intelligence, practicality, but most of all, the depth of emotions that your Cap lady has.

To the answerer who said that Caps are boring..."yawn"...the first thing I thought when I read that was, "I bet she's a Libra." Then I read that she was an air sign. Duh!!! Close enough!!!

I'm a capricorn too. And I can't explain it, but I'm the say way as your sigfig other. a lot of people I have dated have called me the 'man' in the relationship. I think we're just very serious people, and don't do the whole lovey dovey stuff very well. I hate to be the advocate for all capricorns, but the ones I know are all like me. :(

My ex-boyfriend was a Capricorn and I have to agree! They seem like they're not bothered about anything but themselves but keep in mind that this isn't always true! They just aren't very good at showing you how they are truly feeling!

Not all capricorns are dry emotionally, maybe you need to search deeper. Surely she will have a quality which gives you a reason to be with her.

Yes, I do know what you mean. My ex-husband was a capricorn, and he hardly ever showed any feelings nor emotions. I only saw him cry once when he had to put his dog of 15 years to sleep. He could easily show anger but that was about it. It's just their nature.

Capricorns are Earth signs so describing them as "dry" characters is extremeley accurate. They are steady, dependable *yawn*, unenthusiastic & dull in my opinion, all earth signs. I have no earth in my chart, lots of Air instead so this is why earth signs & I just dont get on!

its not like capricorns are like that..am too a capri..and my friends love to be wid me..yeah we are bit moody ..but but but very expressive..i think u shud tell ur friend the u feel about her and am sure she will understand ....

We aren't dry... our emotions and feelings are extermely strong. We need to be comfortable with, and trust the person who wants to see them.

You're gonna have to push her to make her show them to you.
