I love finding new good movies that are not that never made it in the theater but are really good. Examples: Bully, London, Layer Cake, Bobby, Kids. check'm out.

'The Boondock Saints' comes to mind. It is about the McManus family of vigilantes. Some people compare it to 'Pulp Fiction', but it is a unique movie.
I will also mention 'The Immortals". A 1995 movie with Chris Rock, Tia Carrare, Tony Curtis among others. Either of these is a good action movie with an entertaining message.
As for my favorite, it's called Down in the Delta. It is a story about family and redemption. They don't often make movies like this about black people, so I was very disappointed it didn't do well at the box office, meanwhile, they keep cranking out soul plane and who's your caddy.

Flesh and Bone starring Dennis Quaid, Meg Ryan, James Caan and Gwyneth Paltrow. It was an unusual movie about murder, revenge and retribution. Great cast, great acting but just a little too unbelievable.
Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan were still married to each other when they made this movie and they had good chemistry.

There is a suspense/thriller movie called Rites of Passage staring Jason Behr and Dean Stockwell. It is about a father and his two sons, one he hates because he is gay. They all wind up in their family cabin together and are held hostage by escaped convicts. I really liked the movie and only ever found out about it because I was on a quest to watch every movie Jason Behr was ever in.

Like u, I also like some movies are really great but has not been able to get success or to be popular, my favourite movie which was never populare is namely, Strings (bound by faith). Must see this movie. The music was also very wonderfull.

I really liked the HBO movie called NORMAL with Jessica Lange and a young Hayden Panettiere. I don't think that it was a big hit 'cause people missed it. But I liked it so well that I bought it. I had to order it because it was not readily available.
