yea, this kind of happened to me. i woke up and my hubby and i were doing it. i vaguely remembered because i must have just rolled over and went back to sleep after. it was very relaxing that way. i know for some people it could be scary or creepy, but it's my hubby - he was NOT raping me. we talked about it later and i know he never would have done it if he didn't think i was okay with it. he said he asked if it was ok and that i "shushed" him and carried on.

No this hasn't happened to me, but I have a good friend whose husband would do that, then laugh about it. I can understand being woken up and THEN made love to, but I have trouble understanding why someone would try to have intercourse with their spouse while they were soundly sleeping. In my opinion, it is creepy and makes no sense. I think that I would ask some questions, like WHY he would have continued when you didn't wake up. It's good that you aren't upset, because if that were me I would feel like I had been raped. You are taking advantage of someones body when it is at its most vulnerable, and that isn't right. But, as I stated, you aren't upset so I guess that it is OK. (I would also want to know how he managed to position me and everything while I was soundly sleeping, as well as how often this has happened before.)

Yes, this happened to me on Christmas Eve while we were staying with my family. We both had a little too much to drink, and i woke up the next morning feeling the same way you did. When i confronted him about it, he told me that "you can't rape the willing". i'm sorry i don't care how much anyone has to drink, that does not give ANYONE (spouse included) the right to take advantage. i have never felt so violated and just used. I don't know which hurt me worse, the act itself or his reaction to it. I have still yet to fully trust him or allow him back in the bedroom. I hate not knowing what i'm going to wake up to, and not being able to trust him to just get some sleep! But no, i don't think it is right at all.

Some people sleep so soundly that sub-consciencly they don't remember doing things. My husband is like that. I have full conversations with him, he'd be sitting up in bed talking and eyes open, and not remember any of it at all. I'll be sleeping, he'll instigate sex, I think he's awake when he's not. I actually find that amusing lol I wake up at the slightest sound so I've never actually experienced it.

Yes, my husband has done this but I usually wake up and enjoy the end. I always tell my husband, when you want it take it. Sometimes I wake up but pretend to still be sleeping. He'll never know.

I would feel so used... I mean yeah its my husband, but dont I have the right, given its my body, to at least be conscious when you are making love to me? I would be totally weirded out by this and would not want him to touch me for a while... that's scary, why would he think its ok to do that to you? That is a HUGE violation... It does matter, even though you're married, that you didnt have any active conscious part in the sex. That is damn near rape... are you sure you're ok honey? I would be just lost if I were in your shoes right now.
