i always thought that you put it on that piece of skin between your eyeball and lower lashes (like the part when you pull your bottom eye down). but when i tried it, it made my eye look so small. OR do you put it on the bottom of your top lidd?? help please!! everyone says it looks so good, but i want to know where to put it!! and liquid or solid one?

I always apply eyeliner right on my lower lash line and then smudge lightly for the smoky texture, a pure straight line often looks unnatural. For the top lid, I draw the line right above the lash line. This will make your eyes look dramatic and even more so if you pair with mascara.Liquid eyeliner is very tricky, I sometimes use it on my top lid, mostly for evening wear. I like the liner pencils best of all they are more natural looking.

pull the skin below your eye down.

spread a black or brown solid liner along where your lower lashes grow out..

if you want a smoky eye look, but black or brown solid just barely above your top lashes and smudge with a neutral shade of eyeshadow. NEVER smudge on the lower lashes. no matter how good you think you are, it will give the illusion of underey circles.

remember, never wear eyeliner without mascara and vice versa.

as a general rule, avoid lining all the way across the lower eyelashes. leaving some space on the inside corner of the eye where the lashes end near the tear ducts gives a softer, less severe look.

plus, wrapping a complete circle of eyeliner around the eye tends to create an eyeglasses look and can make the eyeliner a stronger statement than the eye itself.

use a gold shadow on the inside corner of your eyes to create a classy, yet stylish look.

good luck!!

1) Do not put dark eyeliner on the inner rim of your lower lash line - the dark color is making your eyes look smaller.

Instead use a white pencil on the inner rim of your lower lashes. This will brighten the whites of your eyes & make them appear larger.

However, some professionals advise against this trick because the inner rim of your eye lid is sensitive & one risks infection.

2) Ideally, dark eyeliner should be placed tightly against the upper lash line only. This will make your upper lashes appear more lush.

If you must apply dark eyeliner to your lower lid, then apply it along the lower lash line only. Or consider using a dark eye shadow & smudge it for an evening look.

that's what I do: I grab my decrease lid and intensely gently positioned eye-liner onto the perfect (perfect= the section this is against your eye) and then rub it greater liner into the eyelashes and a skinny line below. with the aid of fact the perfect of the backside eyelid comes of elementary do the comparable to your perfect so it would not come off as first. i do no longer generally do exactly right, basically mascara yet you're able to do the comparable with the perfect. It looks great!

You can put liner on either one, or both. It really depends on your eye. Play with liner to see what looks best. (Hint: never use liquid on the inner lid, only the outer!)

the way you do it is the best way. its also the prettiest. to make your eyes look bigger and more dramatic, though, put it on the top lid and on the bottom (where your eyelashes grow out. aka your lashline.). putting eyeliner on your top lid makes your eyelashes look longer. and be sure to "connect" the black lines from the top and bottom lids in the outer corner of the eye.

it'll look somewhat like these:
