For Whom did you root: Tom or Jerry? Sylvester or Tweety? Wile E. Coyote or Road Runner? Boris & Natasha or Rocky & Bullwinkle?
For myself--Tom, Wile, Sylvester and Boris & Natasha (oh la la). I always found Tweety highly annoying. While I liked Bullwinkle, I had a thing for Natasha. :p I just wanted Wile to rip off the Road Runners head. And for Tom to enjoy eating Jerry.
Recently, I was shocked--shocked!--to learn not everyone agreed with me on this issue.

I always rooted for Tom- Jerry was too smug for me.
I was on Team Tweety, because I dodn't know if it was a boy or a girl, and to me that was intriguing. However, every time Sylvester imagined a little roast Tweety with all the trimmings, I really wanted him to get his wish!!!! (Also, that Tweety played the old lady unfairly- Sylvester always got a raw deal.)
I always rooted for Wile E. Coyote, because he had some very imaginative plans, and that stupid Road Runner just got lucky every time. No skill whatsoever!!
And I really would have enjoyed Rocky and Bullwinkle a lot more if Bullwinkle ditched the highly annoying Rocky and teamed up with Boris and Natasha to take over the world!
I think rooting for the protagonist all the time shows a rather pedestrian outlook on life, don't you???
And how sad is it that some of the younger people on here probably don't have a clue who we're referring to on some of these cartoons?

Tom and Jerry I loved Jerry I was happy he got away Coyote adn Runner I felt so bad for Wile that I really wanted him to get the road runner at least once

Tom, Sylvester and Wile E. Coyote. I too wanted Wile to get the friggin road runner and for Sylvester to finally eat the stupid tweety bird!! Tom was always the one I rooted for!!
