If it hurt when it was in you, then it wasn't in far enough.
It hurt during removal because it didn't soak up enough liquid. Next time either leave it in longer (you can leave it in for 6 hours), or use a smaller absorbancy.

Usually if it feels weird, it's because it's not been inserted far enough. I had that problem, too, the first few times I used tampons. You'll get better at putting them in if you keep trying.

As for the pain...your flow was probably not heavy enough to saturate the tampon, and that can make removal painful. Try a tampon with a smaller absorbency (regular, lite) as opposed to a more heavy-flow absorbency (super, super-plus).

I am 30 years old and I just started using them. I ALWAYS felt they hurt. I was never able to swim or do fun things because I just couldn't wear it.

I learned if you calm down when you insert it. You have to be really calm and take deep breaths. Then you put it in as far as you can until your fingers touch your body. Your fingers should be on the bumpy part. then you slide it in. You will feel it. Everyone always told me you couldn't, but I can. Then when you take it out do the same thing. Get really relaxed. I hope that helps.

It's possible you didn't have it correctly placed you shouldn't feel it at all, it takes practice.

it hurting should be either so two things, again not having it placed or your flow wasn't sufficent enough for the type of tampon you used...you should leave it in for at least 4 hours.

make sure your using a slender teen version till you get comfortable using them.

yes you have to get usedto, or maybe you didn´t place it right. A tampon is supposed to be inserted deep your vagina, so you don´t feel it. if you do feel it it´s misplaced, just make some practice. I started using tampons very young and never felt them (no sex before).

Good Luck! ;D

it hurts if you didn't put it in all the way because if you don't put it in all the way then the cotton rubs the muscle in there and it hurt

you might have also put it in wrong
