House flies tend to meed their doom in my fish tank and I usually scoop them out with a net, but today I found my little skirted tetra with one in his mouth. He's having trouble with it, but he's not about to let it go. Is this okay? Can my fish eat flies?

Unless you have pesticides then I wouldn't worry the reason they are there is Probably Because of a light that they go to at night

Yes, that is perfectly natural, and a good source of protein for your fish. The only danger would be if they had any pesticides on them...
